There is a concept of Share Auto in chennai. Where in people who wanna reach same destination or on the way get in and the people share the auto fare. This is really good for many who wants to reach on time and with affordable charge. Not only middle class but also lower class people also use this share auto concept.
Once i was in a Share auto. These auto drivers for they to earn more money do board people more than available. 2 in the front, 4 behind them and 4 behind them. He has to take atleast 10 members per trip then only he could get more than what he could afford for his daily bread. But i am afraid this traffic police get them and fine them or charge heavily.
I have a question to the community and to the government. If a traffic police charges on auto driver who boards people more than it can. Then should they also charge the bus drivers who carry 4 times or 5 times more than what the capacity is? motor vehicle act is same for all why there is an excuse for government bus? Government bus drivers also should restrict the no of passengers who can board into the bus.
If government wants to run Buses for profit, why can't the poor auto drivers?
Taking passengers more than its capacity is always wrong and could result in danger but is it not implemented for all the vehicle around after all motor vehicle act includes government vehicles too....
